Sturgeon Facts

* Named the Giant of the Great Lakes, the King & Queen of Fish
* Record catches have been up to 9 feet long weighing up to 300 pounds
* A gentle fish, with no teeth, the Sturgeon has suckers that scoop insects and vegetation of the lake bottom
* The Sturgeon was written about in the Song of Hiawatha, by Longfellow
